England were through to the finals! The crowd adopted what is fast becoming a sporting anthem “Sweet Caroline”. ITV wanted a Neil Diamond tribute and the producers picked Fisher Stevens to be their “Neil Diamond”! “It was an amazing experience, although just before the performance the nerves were fluttering and the realisation that I was going to sing to the nation dawned on me. I have to laugh now but I left my phone in my jacket pocket and as I started performing it began to buzz. It didn’t stop all the way through with people sending me messages to let me know that I was on their TV!”.
